A major setback for Pakistan as Glenn Maxwell and other Australian players may leave the tour early to compete in the IPL 2022.

 The IPL 2022, which will feature ten teams and run until the end of May this year, may force Australian stars Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, and Pat Cummins to leave the Pakistan tour early. The 15th edition of the India Premier League (IPL) is scheduled to begin in the last week of March 2022. The T20 league, on the other hand, will coincide with Australia's upcoming cricket tour of Pakistan, which begins on March 3. Australian national selector George Bailey has stated that IPL-bound players will be permitted to return home in the middle of the series before flying to India to compete in the mega event.
